Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

Isla and the Happily Ever After

One word to describe this book is "love." I absolutely, heart-wrenchingly love this book. This book built me up, destroyed me, and rebuilt me. This book is about a girl named Isla (pronounced EYE-LA) and she has had a three year long crush on Josh. Josh is from the first book, Anna and the French Kiss, (also my favorite) and I recommend you read Anna and the French Kiss first if you want to know more about Josh. But anyways, she and Josh encounter each other in the summer before their senior year and it's the beginning of an epic love story. I always find myself loving the sad parts the most and this book's sad part was beautifully written and I've literally re-read it 12 times. The happy and romantic parts were also amazingly written. I admit that I think that Josh's and Isla's love is a bit quick but so passionate nonetheless. I thought I loved St. Clair and Cricket but JOSH, he's so amazing..agh I can't. One thing that was sort of a downfall for some readers would be that there wasn't a lot of Anna and St. Clair or Lola and Cricket but there was enough for me. I feel that this story deserved to be about Isla and Josh since the other couples their own novel. I really think you guys should read this book, its so lovely and my stomach gets in knots thinking about. Thanks for reading up to this part, it means a lot. I'll see you guys soon! Bye!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Fangirl

If I had to choose one word to describe this book it would be "relatable." (sorry if the picture quality is bad) Fangirl is about an introverted girl named Cath who loves this book series named Simon Snow and she writes fanfiction about it. She is viciously close with her twin sister named Wren but now that they're starting college, Wren wants to leave all the fandom stuff and childish things behind and make friends, party, all that college stuff while Cath doesn't because she's too afraid of it. This story is about how she deals with her sister change, college life, and the people she meets along the way. She meets her roommate Reagan, who at first is sort of a jerk but later on becomes quite nice. Cath must also get through her writing class which isn't what she was expecting and she meets a great guy along the way and can I just say, he's perfect. This book is so good and I give it 5/5 stars. Rowell made Cath such a relatable character to me, I could relate to Cath soo well it was great. And in Cath's romance Rowell never pushed it, it felt natural and slow like it should. Cath changed  lot throughout the story but still stayed true to herself which is what I loved about the book. She didn't find herself, she made herself. I highly recommend you read it, it was recommended to me so I recommend it to you. I hope you liked this review! I'll be adding a P.S but I it contains spoilers so don't read it of you don't want to.

P.S~ Spoilers ahead -------> Firstly, can we take a moment to think about Levi....sigh.....I love him. Cath is so lucky! At first I thought it was Nick but then boom. LEVI. I mean he's perfect isn't he?

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles series book #2)

I've wanted to write this "review" for a while just a bit differently than the last one and I wanted your input but you guys seem a bit reluctant to comment. So I'm trying something different this time, please comment telling me how I did. Okay so here goes:

I read scarlet rather recently as in like a few months ago and I loved it. I give it 4 and 1/2 stars. It was action and mystery and romance all in one. My favorite combination. I loved the dynamic between wolf and scarlet. Wolf whom is a strong and ruthless street fighter and scarlet who is strong and brave and will do anything to save her grandma. Although I was upset when the truth about him came out I was happy that he spoke his true feelings later on. I did and didn't like that cinder and Kai didn't play a pivotal role in the book. I did like it because then the book focused more on scarlet and wolf. However I didn't like it because I mean come on it's Kai and cinder -insert love eyed emoji here- they started this and are -by the way- perfect together. So all in all great book, definitely    recommend it. Thanks for reading. Please let me know if you like it.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles series #1)

Hey guys! So before I begin I just wanted to say that this is my first review, summary kinda blog and so it might not be the best. And I'll try not to include many spoilers (unless you want them) but I'll give more info than the back of the book. Okay so here goes:

I was recommended Cinder by one of my good friends but was reluctant to read it because the whole series hasn't come out yet, but I read it anyway. Great decision. The Lunar Chronicles is 4 books and each one is a twist on a fairytale. Cinder (if you haven't guessed) is a twist on the story Cinderella, its about the future and Earth isn't the only inhabitant planet. Linh Cinder lives on Earth but when she was adopted at 11 she suffered an accident that almost killed her and so she became a cyborg to save her. Her adoptive dad married a woman with 2 daughters named, Pearl and Peony and then when her dad died she was left with her step-mom, Adri. Cinder doesn't remember her childhood or the accident and she's now older and works as a mechanic with her only friend an android named Iko who is way realistic too be a robot. Cyborgs aren't very liked on Earth so Cinder like to wear gloves and such to cover up. One day the Prince, Kai comes to Cinder for help to repair his android. Prince Kai is the son of the emperor of New Beijing. Earth is terrorized by a plague called Letumosis  it kills you and the royal doctors are looking for a cure. The emperor is sick with the plague and eventually dies, which leaves Kai to soon be Emperor. Kai is pursued by Queen Levana, queen of Luna (the moon) (remember I said Earth wasn't the only one). Levana wants to marry Kai so she can control part of Earth too. But here's the catch: the people of luna have special powers where they can manipulate earthens and make them think, and see what they want. They can also control earthens. Kai and Cinder develop feelings for each other but one day she goes out to the junkyard with Peony (Peony is nice, Pearl isn't) and Peony catches the plague. They take her away and when Cinder returns home, Adri blames Cinder and gives her up for antidote testing. (there was a thing called the cyborg draft where cyborgs volunteer to help find an antidote for the plague but in this case since Cinder is still a minor Adri could volunteer her.) So then she discovers some secrets about herself that she never knew. I'm not going to spoil(sorry) . Anyways so then comes the big conflict at the end which involves Kai and Cinder must save not only herself but Earth.
    dun, dun, dunnn
Okay so I loved this book. I like the plot and how it was a twist on Cinderella but still kept its originality. I liked how Cinder and Kai's relationship wasn't quick but didn't drag on it was just right. I also liked how it ended because it was a small cliffhanger and you couldn't wait to read Scarlet. The characters were genuine and real and that's something I really enjoyed. So overall I would recommend this book and the entire series too. The last book isn't coming out until 2015 but I can't wait for it. I hope this was a good first blog and I encouraged you to read Cinder. Happy Reading!!
