Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

Isla and the Happily Ever After

One word to describe this book is "love." I absolutely, heart-wrenchingly love this book. This book built me up, destroyed me, and rebuilt me. This book is about a girl named Isla (pronounced EYE-LA) and she has had a three year long crush on Josh. Josh is from the first book, Anna and the French Kiss, (also my favorite) and I recommend you read Anna and the French Kiss first if you want to know more about Josh. But anyways, she and Josh encounter each other in the summer before their senior year and it's the beginning of an epic love story. I always find myself loving the sad parts the most and this book's sad part was beautifully written and I've literally re-read it 12 times. The happy and romantic parts were also amazingly written. I admit that I think that Josh's and Isla's love is a bit quick but so passionate nonetheless. I thought I loved St. Clair and Cricket but JOSH, he's so amazing..agh I can't. One thing that was sort of a downfall for some readers would be that there wasn't a lot of Anna and St. Clair or Lola and Cricket but there was enough for me. I feel that this story deserved to be about Isla and Josh since the other couples their own novel. I really think you guys should read this book, its so lovely and my stomach gets in knots thinking about. Thanks for reading up to this part, it means a lot. I'll see you guys soon! Bye!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Fangirl

If I had to choose one word to describe this book it would be "relatable." (sorry if the picture quality is bad) Fangirl is about an introverted girl named Cath who loves this book series named Simon Snow and she writes fanfiction about it. She is viciously close with her twin sister named Wren but now that they're starting college, Wren wants to leave all the fandom stuff and childish things behind and make friends, party, all that college stuff while Cath doesn't because she's too afraid of it. This story is about how she deals with her sister change, college life, and the people she meets along the way. She meets her roommate Reagan, who at first is sort of a jerk but later on becomes quite nice. Cath must also get through her writing class which isn't what she was expecting and she meets a great guy along the way and can I just say, he's perfect. This book is so good and I give it 5/5 stars. Rowell made Cath such a relatable character to me, I could relate to Cath soo well it was great. And in Cath's romance Rowell never pushed it, it felt natural and slow like it should. Cath changed  lot throughout the story but still stayed true to herself which is what I loved about the book. She didn't find herself, she made herself. I highly recommend you read it, it was recommended to me so I recommend it to you. I hope you liked this review! I'll be adding a P.S but I it contains spoilers so don't read it of you don't want to.
